Warnings about EXTEND.MAC February 1987 EXTEND.MAC is an UNSUPPORTED system subroutine to allow the run-time manipulation of large data arrays (larger than 256K) under Fortran-10 V11 on a KL Model B. It is provided for informational purposes only. It is not supported by Digital Equipment Corporation. Furthermore, Digital makes no claim that this software will ever be supported in the future. 1.0 SWAPPING SPACE Most uses of extended addressing applications will require a substantial increase in swapping space. 2.0 KNOWN BUGS AND DEFICIENCIES FORDDT does not work in non-zero sections, and should not be used with any program loaded with EXTEND.REL. There are no plans to modify FORDDT to support extended addressing. 3.0 MANDATORY PATCHES FOR RELATED PRODUCTS MCO 13121 and MCO 13137 are required for extended addressing applications under 7.03. They are reproduced in the file EXTEND.PCO included in this saveset. 4.0 KNOWN DEFICIENCIES IN RELATED PRODUCTS The following utilities and optional software do not work under extended addressing and should not be used when called from a non-zero section or from any program loaded with EXTEND.REL: 1.
