WATCH.DOC -- Version 4(7)
January 1979

1.0 SUMMARY

WATCH is a system program which provides a list of various system
statistics and job run times upon request. A user can thus
periodically check system performance with this utility.

WATCH version 4(7) runs on Release 4 of TOPS-20.

WATCH is documented in the DECSYSTEM-20 User's Guide.

2.0 EXTERNAL CHANGES

There are no external changes to WATCH for Release 4.

3.0 KNOWN BUGS AND DEFICIENCIES

As of 30-Jan-79 the following deficiency was noted:

                                 NOTE

Once WATCH begins execution, it will run
indefinitely until a user types ^C to
exit the program. A file provided for
recording WATCH output may thus become
quite large very rapidly unless a user
exits WATCH after an appropriate amount
               of time.
