1.0  SUMMARY

IQL is a joint product of Digtal Equipment Corporation and AZREX, INC.


IQL Version 3.3 is a maintenance release of IQL Version  3A.   The  main
reason  for  this release is to support DBMS-20 V6.  All known bug fixes
are also included in this release.


                                  NOTE


               1.  You MUST use IQL V3A with DBMS V5.

               2.  You MUST use IQL V3.3 with DBMS V6.

               3.  This is a TOPS-20 ONLY release.




IQL V3.3 runs under release 4 of TOPS-20.

IQL V3.3 has been compiled and tested with COBOL/LIBOL V12B.   IQL  V3.3
also requires SORT V4C or later.  Is is loaded with LINK V4A or later.



2.0  EXTERNAL CHANGES

No externally observable changes were made to IQL V3.3  from  V3A.   All
known SPR fixes, however, are included in the release.



3.0  KNOWN BUGS AND DEFICIENCIES

See IQL33.BWR for a list of known bugs.



4.0  INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

See IQLINS.CTL and IQL33.MEM for installation instructions.



5.0  INTERNAL CHANGES

IQL V3.3 is modified to utilize new calling  conventions  which  changed
from  DBMS-20  V5 to DBMS-20 V6.  No additional functionality was added.
In particular, DBMS FIND rse 6 is NOT supported.
