Enclosed in the Vx14-45 SWSKIT you will find two sets of RSX20F floppys
and a DECtape. The floppys/DECtape contain the following tasks and
support files:
.skip
.ls
.le;Dd1:[5,5]DMP.TSK - A task to dump a front end file and file headers.
.le;Dd1:[5,5]LBR.TSK - The library maintenance utility.
.le;Dd1:[5,5]MAC.TSK - MACRO-11. The PDP-11 assembler.
.le;Dd1:[5,5]TEC.TSK - TECO-11. Note that the buffer in this version of
TECO is very small since it must run in the GEN partition. Also, due to
the funny console device driver which likes to eat certain characters,
Control-A must be typed in place of RUBOUT and Control-W must be typed
in place of Control-U. Other than these differences this version seems
to follow the TECO reference card.
.le;Dd1:[5,5]TKB.TSK - TKB-11. The task builder utility.
.le;Dd0:[1,1]RSXMAC.SML - The system macro library. This file contains
the macro definitions for all RSX-11 system directives and File Control
Service (FCS) file processing calls. It is the default library for the
assembler.
.le;Dd0:[1,1]SYSLIB.OLB - The system library. This file contains register
handling, arithmetic, data conversion, output formatting, File Control
Services (FCS) and FCS command line processing subroutines. It is the
default library for TKB.
.le;Dd0:[1,1]EXEC.STB - The Symbol table for the RSX20F executive.
.le;Dd0:[1,2]QIOSYM.MSG - The QIO error message file. This file is a
fixed record length file with the appropriate QIO error message in the
record that corresponds to the absolute value of the QIO error number.
Thus, user written tasks can be written that read the error message file
to get the text of the error instead of taking up address space with error
message strings.
.le;Ddn:[5,5]Vx1445.TXT - A text file to help identify the media.
.le;Dd0:[140,*]LP*.MAC - The source for a task to load the LP20's RAM
and DAVFU if the KL is down. Note that this program has never worked!
The DAVFU appears to get loaded but I have not managed to convince the
RAM to load. This is due in part to the perverse nature of the LP20
device driver.
.els
I encourage you to experiment with LPLOAD and the writing of other useful
support/debugging tasks. If you write something please send it to me on
floppy for inclusion on future RSX20F support kits. Try to make the code
as version independent as possible and document any restrictions or dependencies
inherent in your code. Also, I would appreciate hearing of any problems you
encounter so that I can document them or possibly correct them.
