ACCTPR.DOC -- Changes from V2(30) to V3(31)

1.0  SUMMARY

ACCTPR translates the binary records in the old System Accounting File
FACT.BIN  to ASCII records which may be processed by report generating
programs written in higher level languages, e.g.  COBOL.

ACCTPR version 3(31) runs only on Release 3A of TOPS-20.

ACCTPR is documented in the TOPS-20 Operator's Guide.

4.0  INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS


4.1  Files Needed to Run ACCTPR

ACCTPR consists of one file, ACCTPR.EXE

ACCTPR reads  the  binary  records  in  the  System  Accounting  File,
<ACCOUNTS>FACT.BIN.   This  file  is  usually  renamed  to  the user's
directory prior to running ACCTPR.


4.2  Instructions for Load and Installing ACCTPR

Mount the tape labeled  Distribution  Tape  on  MTA0:   and  type  the
follwing commands:

     R DUMPER
     TAPE MTA0:
     REWIND
     DENSITY 1600-BPI
     SKIP 2
     RESTORE <*>ACCTPR.EXE (TO) SYS:*.*.-1
     REWIND

4.3  Files Needed to Build ACCTPR

ACCTPR is built from the following file:

     ACCTPR.MAC

In addition, the following files must be on sys:

     MACREL.REL
     MACSYM.UNV
     MONSYM.UNV


4.4  Instructions for Building ACCTPR

Mount the tape labeled  Distribution  Tape  on  MTA0:   and  type  the
following commands:

     R DUMPER
     TAPE MTA0:
     REWIND
     DENSITY 1600-BPI
     SKIP 3
     RESTORE <*>*.*.* (TO) <self>*.*.*
     REWIND
     ^C
     SUBMIT ACCTPR.CTL/TIME/UNIQ:0/REST


4.5  Special Considerations

Release 3A is the last Release that will support  ACCTPR.   ACCTPR  is
being replaced by USAG20.
