1.0 SUMMARY
NETSRV is the access logger/server for the application level protocols
for the ARPANET under the TOPS-20AN monitor.
Currently NETSRV supports the following protocols:
TELNET - Terminal access.
Old-TELNET - Old protocol for terminal access.
FTP - File transfer.
Terminal Test - Terminal test text.
Date/Time - Current date/time.
NETSTAT - Status report of the NCP.
SYSTAT - Status report of the system.

NETSRV is new to Release 5.
3.0 KNOWN BUGS AND DEFICIENCIES
None.
4.0 INSTALLATION AND BUILD INSTRUCTIONS
4.1 Files Needed to Run NETSRV
NETSRV consists of one file, NETSRV.EXE.
4.2 Instructions for Loading and Installing NETSRV
Mount the tape labeled Installation Tape on MTA0: and type the
following commands:
SKIP MTA0:5 FILES
R DUMPER
TAPE MTA0:
REWIND
DENSITY 1600-BPI
SKIP 1
RESTORE <*>NETSRV.EXE (TO) SYS:*.*.-1
REWIND

4.3 Files Needed to Build NETSRV
NETSRV is built from the following file:
NETSRV.MAC
In addition, the following files must be in SYS:
MACSYM.UNV
MONSYM.UNV
4.4 Instructions for Building NETSRV
Mount the tape labeled Distribution Tape on MTA0: and type the
following commands:
R DUMPER
TAPE MTA0:
REWIND
DENSITY 1600-BPI
SKIP 1
RESTORE <*>*.*.* (TO) <self>*.*.*
REWIND
^C
SUBMIT NETSRV.CTL/UNIQ:0/REST
4.5 Special Considerations
The file SYSJOB.RUN must start up the NETSRV job. The file
SYSTEM:NETSRV.RUN must contain the NETSRV environment information.
5.0 INTERNAL CHANGES
Refer to NETSRV.TCO for detailed information of changes to NETSRV.
