C     BY THE CALLING PROGRAM  WITH  A  MULTIPLE  OF  AN  A1
C     FORMAT.   IF A SERIES SPECIFICATION IS ENCOUNTERED IN
C     THE INPUT BUFFER, THEN THE INDIVIDUAL NUMBERS OF  THE
C     SERIES  ARE  RETURNED  BY  THE CALLS TO THIS ROUTINE.
