	In order to assemble a new version of BASIC the following
files are required:

On REL:

On the disk area to be used:

and to produce a SYS: version of BASIC:

or to produce a version of BASIC with DDT for debugging:

	The contents of DDT.VER are of no consequence, only its
existence is checked. To produce either version of BASIC, assure
yourself that the presence or absence of DDT.VER is as required,
then submit BASIC.CTL as a batch job with a core limit of 45K
and a time limit of 30:00 mins.. The following new files will be
created:

	If a version of BASIC with DDT is produced, the ^C
intercept will be disabled in it.

		!!!!!!	BEWARE  !!!!!!
	MACRO V53 will not assemble BASDDT.MAC. Until DEC gets
around to fixing this, assemble it separately with MACRO V52 prior
to the submission of the batch job.
