There are no other files named remotecleanup.tty in the archive.
Since many of the LISP systems currently being worked on are pressing
against the upper limit of the LISP address space, many of the systems
are running with less than the normal LISP environment.  DLISP runs 
without having the compiler present and the small KRL sys runs with
neither the compiler or masterscope.  This requres the user of those
systems to manual start and load a seperate job to compile files and
to keep masterscope databases updated.  The remotecleanup package
automates this process for the user.

With this package loaded, whenever the user does a cleanup, the files
will be dumped, and then a lower fork will be initiated with a 
compilation/masterscope environment present.  The lower fork will
compile any modified files and update the appropriate data bases if
necessary.  Finally, the lower fork will terminate and return to the
mother system.

The default system to be run in the lower fork for compilation is
<KRL1>KRL for small KRl sys and LISP for any other systems.  This default
may be changed by reseting the value of CLEANUPSYSTEM before the first 
cleanup is done.  Note that CLEANUPSYSTEM must have enough info in it to
get the lower fork into read/eval if starting from the exec.  For example,
if you want to do the compilation in <KBA>REASONERENV, then CLEANUPSYSTEM
would be set to

The remote cleanup package is driven by options on CLEANUPOPTIONS.  The
relevant possibilities are
	REMCOM  --  compile in the remote job
	REMMAST  --  update the masterscope databases in the remote job
	RELOAD  --  after returning from the remote job, load the compiled
		files back into the mother system.

Note that this process may break in the lower fork for any of a number of
standard reasons.  A few examples are 1) an error in the compiler, 2) an
error in the masterscope analysis, 3) not being able to find the files
to be compiled and/or analyzed, 4) not being able to open the files for
the resulting databases and compiled functions, etc.  If such a break
occurs, the user should type control-D (to get LISP back to the top level),
control-C (to get back to the exec in the lower fork), and then QUIT
(to get out of the lower fork).  If control is returned to the mother job
in this manner, then it assumes that none of the files were compiled and
that none of the databases were updated.  Thus if the offending
condition is corrected, the next cleanup will once again try to compile
those files and update the corresponding databases.  Finally, this
package is built by by advising the function cleanup.  As a result, any
spelling correction or interaction with the user below the call to cleanup
is unavailable to the package.
