There are no other files named xkl.files in the archive.
The following listing shows the files used in building the current version of
TECO, which I have called 1220. The files are not present in the shipped
version; this is informational only.
The versions named 1208, 1210, 1211, and 1212 I obtained from MIT-AI in 1987;
the 1996 dates on three of them have to do with removing extraneous blank lines
and should not be of concern to any but the most demanding purist. 1209 is the
version from which Bill Westfield began the process of upgrading Stanford's
version of EMACS to something more modern than what we generally ran there.
The versions 118037 and 165* were taken from Stanford or cisco Systems.

Besides completing the merger of Stanford and MIT sources, TECO 1220 changes
the reporting of version numbers when you start up TECO: If built from a
source file with FN2 other than "MID" on Tops20 (and probably TENEX), the FN2
will be displayed at startup along with the file version number. This allows
hacking the TECO sources without proliferating version numbers unnecessarily.
Because of the way TECO is purified when first run, I've duplicated TECO.1220
as TECO.MID.1220 for the final build for EMACS and other TECO-based utilities.
